In November 2010, DroidSecurity was acquired by AVG Technologies and is now AVG Mobilation.
AVG was founded in 1991 with the express purpose of protecting people around the world using the latest in cutting- edge security technologies. AVG gained success quickly and is now recognized as one of the biggest players in the security software market. AVG currently holds corporate offices in Europe, the US and the UK.
AVG Mobilation offices are located in Tel-Aviv, Israel.
Eran Pfeffer, Co-founder and CEO
Eran is a highly-experienced manager in the field of Internet and mobile services.
He began by co-founding and serving as VP of Business Development of
BmyPC, a hugely-successful Internet desktop application.
He followed that success by acting as Head of Marketing for IT service
provider Adanet Group before moving on to Bee Contact, a mobile content
and technology company, where he held a wide range of managerial, sales and
business development positions which culminated in his taking the company
public on the Israeli stock market.
Dror Shalev, Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer
Dror is a veteran Internet and security technologist.
He started at Finjan then moved on to DataSec, developing and designing
Internet security systems before co-founding and serving as CTO of BmyPC, a
hugely-successful Internet desktop application.
Dror managed the SmartDefense Research Center at Checkpoint Technologies
from 2005-2008 where he was responsible for security vulnerability research,
as well as developing solutions for security vulnerabilities and serving as
the security focal point for industry leading vendors like Microsoft Security
Response Center, Adobe , ZoneLabs , Secunia , Oracle and iDefense, among
others.
Omri Sigelman, Co-founder and and Vice President of Marketing and Product
Omri is an accomplished marketing and product executive.
He began as a manager at AKT, an Oracle systems consultant, then moved on
to co-found and serve as Vice president of Marketing for Z-Plus.
He followed both successes by co-founding and serving as Head of Business and Product
Development and Product management for Anecdots.
Omri also served as Sales and Marketing Director for Britannica Knowledge
Systems in Israel, where he was responsible for all regional sales activity,
including both pre and post-sale client relationships.
